ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a natural healing technique for balancing the flow of energy in your body. During an Acupuncture session, very thin needles are place at strategic points on your body to stimulate your nerves, muscles and connective tissue, thereby removing blockages, increasing circulation and restoring balance.

Acupuncture is mainly used to relieve discomfort associated with a variety of diseases and conditions, including chemotherapy-induced and postoperative nausea and vomiting, dental pain, headaches and migraines, low back pain, neck pain and stiffness,  menstrual cramps, osteoarthritis, respiratory disorders and other ailments.

ACUPOINT INJECTION THERAPY

Acupoint Injection Therapy is an integrative natural healing therapy that blends the best of Chinese Medicine with conventional and homeopathic medicine.

We employ this technique by injecting natural therapeutic substances, such as homeopathic remedies, into Acupuncture points to affect them on a deeper level.

This technique can be very effective in treating chronic conditions such as allergies, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, low back pain, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, thumb pain, heel pain (plantar fasciitis), knee pain, shoulder pain, and many other diseases. It is also effective in treating chronic auto-immune conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis.

AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE

Auricular Acupuncture uses a multitude of ear points to relieve symptoms all over your body. Stimulation of an ear point with Acupuncture needles shows immediate reflection in the brain on MRI studies.

Auricular Acupuncture treatment stimulates your body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. It reduces stress and anxiety, relieves pain, and promotes feelings of well-being.

BATTLEFIELD ACUPUNCTURE

Whereas traditional Acupuncture involves placing needles in various areas of the body, Battlefield Acupuncture is a natural healing protocol using 5 needles which are placed in specific, predetermined points on the ear.

Battlefield Acupuncture was created by Dr. Richard Niemtzow while on active duty in the United States Air Force in 2001. Dr. Niemtzow discovered that a very specific sequence of needles inserted into the ears would provide rapid and highly effective relief of many types of pain. This natural healing treatment is currently being used in many military and VA facilities.

ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE

Much like traditional Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture needles stimulate specific points along your body to promote your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Once the needles are placed, they are attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses. Your Acupuncture Physician will then use the device to adjust the pulse, depending on the condition being treated.

Several pairs of needles can be stimulated simultaneously to address varies areas of your body. In addition to pain relief and addressing other physical ailments, Electro-Acupuncture Therapy also has mood elevating benefits and is sometimes used to treat depression.

OZONE INJECTION THERAPY

Ozone Injection Therapy is a mixture of vitamins, medicine or homeopathics and ozone, administered via injection into joints and/or soft tissue. Benefits include increased oxygen efficiency, immune modulation, mediated oxidative stress, and improved microcirculation.  People often report increased energy, cognitive function, endurance, and decreased pain.‍ Other health benefits include relief from asthma, allergies, and bronchitis. Some patients report improved hair and nail growth, healthier looking skin, and a more restful sleep. Ozone Injection Therapy can also be an effective treatment for auto-immune diseases, bacterial, viral and fungal infections, arthritis, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease and fibromyalgia.

CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping is a natural healing therapy that utilizes cups to create suction on your skin as a way of stimulating blood flow and the movement of Qi or Chi. It helps remove toxins, thereby strengthening your immune system which leads to increased resistance against disease.

It decreases pain and can reduce phlegm, coughing and mild fevers. Because it opens capillary vessels, it promotes smooth circulation of your blood which then increases blood oxygen levels.

FIRE CUPPING THERAPY

Fire Cupping is an ancient Chinese natural healing therapy utilizing special glass cups. A flame is lit inside the cups, which are then quickly placed on your body. This creates a lack of oxygen, which in turn creates the suction necessary for therapeutic benefit.

During a Fire Cupping Therapy session, oil can be applied to your skin, and the cups can be moved around an area of your body. The cups can also be left stationary to target specific acupoints or muscles. Patients report experiencing a warm, pulling, stretching sensation, but no actual pain.

GUA SHA THERAPY

Gua Sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves using a massage tool to scrape your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. These strokes are made with a smooth-edged instrument known as a Gua massage tool. Your Acupuncture Physician applies massage oil to your skin, and then uses the tool to repeatedly scrape your skin in a downward motion.

Gua Sha is intended to address stagnant energy, called Qi or Chi, in your body that practitioners believe may be responsible for inflammation. Inflammation is the underlying cause of several conditions associated with chronic pain. Rubbing the skin’s surface is thought to help break up this energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a natural healing protocol aimed at helping you regain balance in your body while strengthening your body’s resistance to disease. Like Acupuncture, Chinese herbs can address unhealthy body patterns that manifest in a variety of symptoms and complaints. It is considered a fundamental therapy in China, where it is widely used to treat many acute and chronic conditions.

THAI HERBAL BALL MASSAGE

Popular in Thailand, the Thai Herbal Ball Massage method uses an herb mix wrapped in cheesecloth, also known as Thai herbal compress balls. The compress is steam-heated which draws the essential oils out of the herb mixture.

The treatment is then rubbed onto your skin during the massage. This brings relief to aching muscles, helps to heal bruising, and soothes the skin. It can also be placed directly on your body’s sore spots. Doing this helps your body absorb the alkaloids from the herb mix. The anti-inflammatory, astringent, antioxidant, and anti-microbial properties of the herbs help restore your body’s health.

MOXIBUSTION

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called “moxa” are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences.

A moxibustion treatment can provide several physical benefits, including improved blood flow, a boosted immune system, and relief of chronic pain.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds stimulate your skin’s healing process causing your body to make more collagen and elastin. These proteins keep your skin firm and smooth. Most people get microneedling on their face, but you can also get it on your legs, back, neck or other areas where you notice damaged or aging skin.

KINESIO TAPING®

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.

Kinesio Taping® provides extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong and compliment the benefits of your manual physical therapy treatment. Application of the tape may also reduce your pain by easing pressure on your pain receptors, and decrease your swelling by increasing your fluid movement.
